We rent out boats along the Connecticut River in Hanover, NH in the spring, summer, and fall. Come on down and rent a boat!

SUP Policies: No overnights allowed. Members are restricted to 2-hr rentals without charge. SUPs can only be rented on the Connecticut River from Ledyard dock. Only one person is allowed on a SUP at one time. The minimum age is 12 yrs old, and parental consent is required for SUP renters below the age of 18.
Reservations: We only take reservations for parties of 9 or more. Community Service groups that are registered as 501(c)3 non-profit organizations may be eligible for 50% group discounts if the party is 9 or greater and the reservation is made in advance. A Ledyard membership entitles the holder to the following:
- One canoe or two kayaks free for one full business day. (Family memberships include 2 canoes or 4 kayaks).
- One Stand-Up Paddleboard free for up to 2 hours. (Family memberships include 2 SUPs for 2 hours).
- 1-night free overnight rental of canoe / kayak. See note below for details.
Notes for Members: Life jackets are available to members and are required by law to be with the boat. All boats must still be returned during our normal business hours; there will be a charge associated with returning boats after closing. If taking a boat overnight, members must alert the deskworker at time of rental. Boats may not be left at the dock unattended. Please make arrangements to return the canoe the next day when the business is open.
A Ledyard membership is a great way to save money on rentals if you plan to be a frequent renter! You can purchase a membership at the club during normal business hours (click here for directions), or you can visit Kathleen Decato in the OPO business office in Robinson Hall. One-year memberships expire exactly one calendar year from the date of purchase; student career memberships expire the day of a student's graduation from Dartmouth.
Membership categories and prices:
- Dartmouth Student year: $50
- Dartmouth Student career (until graduation): $150
- General year: $100
- Faculty/Staff year: $85
- Family year: $150
We also have lifetime memberships available for Dartmouth students. These can only be purchased at the DOC business office, and include the same benefits of a regular membership, but they last a lifetime!
- Before a student's 5th reunion: $300
- After a student's 5th reunion: $750
